Hello, my name is John Seghers.
I started programming computers in high school, writing BASIC programs using an ASR-33 teletype connected via a 110 baud accoustic modem to the district's HP-2000E. Yes, that means I'm old :)
In 1981 I joined Atari and developed games for the Atari 5200 game console and 800 line of home computers. These included:
- Realsports Soccer (5200, 800)
- Xari Arena (5200)
- Gremlins (5200, 800, 400XL, 600XL, 1200XL)
- Countermeasure (5200) co-authored with Leo Salinas
Gremlins was also ported to the Commodore 64.
Over the years I've developed games for Nintendo, Windows, and numerous cell phones. I'll add the full list sometime...
In addition to games, I've worked on many other systems in different fields. I'm now working for a growing company (yes, those exist even in today's economy) in the mobile phone industry.
